Floyd Hartwell Hines are an acoustic roots group comprising of:
Nicky Floyd – voice and flute,
Ian Hartwell – voice and double bass
Bob Hines – voice and guitar.
“The Big Red One” is their first album and features many of the songs that have made them such an impressive live act. Each song on this impressive debut shows a different aspect of the classy FHH sound. From the stunning opening track “16 tons” to the final hurrah of “Yarmouth Town” the mix of original, covers and traditional material demonstrates why this is a ‘must have’ album.
About Bob Hines
Bob is known as a member of BluesBand197 the well known blues outfit and Band197 the 4 piece Rock’n’Roll band. Here however is another side to Bob’s many talents with his new album “The Ramblings of ” being a purely acoustic compilation of songs both personal and haunting. Some of his classics include The Song of Leaving” which also featured in one of his earlier Bands – Northern Lights.
By returning to a more ‘Roots’ approach, Bob allows the strength and quality of his songs to speak for themselves.View all releases from Bob Hines →
